Privacy policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026
Yo Bot is a desktop application. It runs on your computer. There is no Yo Bot server, no Yo Bot account, and no analytics or tracking in the app or on this website. This policy explains what Yo Bot handles and where it goes.
What Yo Bot stores
Everything Yo Bot keeps is stored in its data folder on your computer: your conversations, what your bots remember, files you add, settings, and the keys and sign-in tokens you give it. Nothing is copied to a Yo Bot server, because there is none.
This data is protected by your computer's user account. It is not encrypted by Yo Bot itself today; anyone or any program with access to your user account can read it.
What leaves your computer
- The AI model provider you choose. To answer a request, Yo Bot sends the conversation and the information the bot gathered for it (for example, an event from your calendar) to the AI model provider you configured, under that provider's own terms. Yo Bot does not choose a provider for you.
- Services you connect. When a bot uses a service you connected, such as Google, the request goes directly from your computer to that service.
- Websites a bot visits when you let it search or read the web.
Google user data
If you connect your Google account, Yo Bot asks for:
- Google Calendar events (
calendar.events): to read your upcoming events, answer questions about your schedule and prepare meeting briefs, and to create or change an event when you ask. By default, Yo Bot shows you each change and waits for your approval. - Google Drive files that Yo Bot creates (
drive.file): to save documents your bots write for you, and to read those files later. Yo Bot cannot see your other Drive files. - Your email address (
openid, email): to show which account is connected.
Google data is used only to provide the features you use in Yo Bot. It is stored on your computer and sent only to Google and to the AI model provider you chose, to answer your request.
Yo Bot's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, Yo Bot does not sell Google data, does not use it for advertising, does not use it to train AI models, and does not let anyone read it except as needed to provide the features you use, for security, or as the law requires.
Deleting your data and disconnecting
- Disconnect Google in Yo Bot under Settings › Connections. Yo Bot revokes its access with Google and deletes the tokens.
- Revoke access at Google at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections.
- Delete everything by deleting Yo Bot's data folder (named
yobot, in your system's application data folder). Data already sent to your AI model provider is subject to that provider's retention policy.
Children
Yo Bot is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date above changes. A change that widens what Yo Bot does with your data will also be shown in the app before it takes effect.
